Several years ago, four local musicians as the Buffalo Bills formed a quartet to take part in the musical "The Music Man" on stage at our local high school auditorium. As a result of that performance, the Gaylord Harmonie Meisters were formed.

 Two of the members of the above mentioned quartet, assisted Hank Hedges in placing an ad in our local newspaperto invite interested men to get acquainted and learn the barbershop style of singing. Guys began to join, brought others with them, and the Harmonie Meisters continued to grow.

 In the fourteen years of singing with this chapter, I have sung as a lead, served as a board member, Vice-President for Chapter Developement, Vice-President for Membership, Historian, Keeper of the attendance and organizer of special nights for potential new members.

 I find my addiction to great harmony continues. Besides the fun and joy of music, I have found friendship, togetherness and the gift of singing to help transmit harmony throughout our northern Michigan communities and bring joy, fun and "song" to Others!
